Our Design Process
Our website design process entails a total
of 6 phases to ensure a quality product every time. A good
web site is the product of good planning & design. Each
customer is provided with a (much more detailed) version of
the below phases to guarantee a smooth implementation.
| Phase 1: Planning |
This
is where everyone meets to brainstorm on the overall
purpose and design of the project. |
| Phase 2: Design |
Once planned out,
we will work closely with you to create an outline and
layout that is suitable to the guidelines specified
in phase 1. |
| Phase 3: Development |
Once you are comfortable
with the overall ideas listed in the outline, we will
begin to build your masterpiece. At this phase, you
will have an opportunity to approve a sample layout
prior to any extensive development. |
| Phase 4: Testing |
Towards the end of
the project, we will need to conduct tests to assure
proper functionality. This phase is one of the most
important, and we spend quite a bit of time since we
are perfectionists! |
| Phase 5: Project Launch |
By far the most exciting of the 6 phases is the Project
Launch! This is where your website is officially available
to the target audience (e.g. general public, intranet
users, etc.) Typically, you will have already promoted
this launch date beforehand to build anticipation
to your target markets. Optionally, we use Google
Sitemaps to inform Google's crawler about all your
pages and to help people discover more of your web
pages.

|
| Phase 6: Maintenance |
This phase is necessary to make any minor
adjustments. The adjustments are typically due to user
feedback and may include modifications to verbiage, hyperlink
locations, and typeface size adjustments. |

Ask the professionals
How long does this process take? This depends
on the complexity of your project, and how quickly you are
able to provide content.
What should I do on my end to ensure a smooth turnaround?
While we will offer suggestions and mock ups (known as screenshots)
of your project, it is helpful to have an idea of what direction
you wish to go. Visit other websites or collect print collateral
that you like.
When should I expect to see a sample? Typically
a sample is provided within about 7 days after we brainstorm
during the Planning Phase. We provide the sample in the Design
Phase.
Will I have a chance to approve everything before
being released? Absolutely. You will have an opportunity
to go through the final version with a fine tooth comb and
will be advised on the best option in terms of launching or
sending to the printer.
